The Blackburne Creek Homeowner’s Association has received some information from a resident who told us she came across a conservation officer monitoring the ravine in our neighbourhood after an aggressive encounter with two coyotes was reported. She thinks her and her husband have come across the same two coyotes on their walks many times in the last few months, thankfully with no negative consequences.
Due to the volume of walkers in our ravine, both young and old, and with and without dogs, the conservation officer mentioned information sessions are being offered to neighbourhoods like ours experiencing concerns with coyotes. They will discuss what to watch for, what to do in case of an encounter.
