2009 Annual General Meeting

About three dozen people attended the 2009 Annual General Meeting of the Blackburne Creek Homeowners’ Association at the Ellerslie Rugby Park Hall.

 

Outgoing association President Kathleen Edwards (left) gave a report to the membership on the activities of the Board of Directors, its committees and events during the year.   She thanked outgoing Board member Robert Henry for his contribution.  Perhaps the highlight of the evening came when she presented residents Guy and Eileen Luke (pictured on main page) with a plaque to recognize their contributions to the community over the last 13 years.

 

Treasurer Drew Schofield (below right in brown jacket) presented the financial report.  During the 2008-2009 year there was asurplus of just under $10,000.  For the current year, there is a budgetary surplus of  a little more than $5,600.  The 2009-10 budget was approved by the membership.

 

Longtime Blackburne Creek resident Glen Thamer was nominated for the Board of Directors.  He accepted the nominated and the membership officially elected him to the Board.   He will join Schofield, Guy Luke, Grant Ainsley and Len Hawreliak (right) as voting directors.
