Report on the 2015 Annual General Meeting

 

The Annual General Meeting for members of Blackburne Creek Homeowner's Association (HOA)  was held on November 3 at the Ellerslie Rugby Park at 11004 - 9 Avenue SW.

 

President Brian Hawrelak updated association members on several different issues that the Board of Directors has been involved in during the year. Issues ranged from the legal dispute against three members for installing non-wooden roofing materials, to the HOA's involvement in a proposed condo development at the entrance to the community, to discussions with the City and community league on renovating the playground.

 

Treasurer Drew Schofield provided a report on revenue and expenses during the previous year and also shared the association's budget for the current fiscal year.

 

President Hawrelak announced he would return to the Board, along with Schofield, Melissa Tilburn, Nathan Maslanko and Adam Kitchen. He also announced that Dan Edwards would not be running for re-election. No nominations came from the floor for new representatives on the Board.
